PROJECTS IN QUEUE

Herein you will find the projects which I'm aiming to complete this year. This is entirely prospective, and subject to change.  Some of these models I've started to work but have switched over to working with the printed layouts of other models.

From Dissidia : Final Fantasy

Gabranth:
04AUG2011
If you couldn't tell by some of my models, I do rather enjoy posing the modes to match their artwork.  For Gabranth I think I'll go for the Amano artwork pose from the cover. From Gabranth's last stand defending Larsa.
Here is the pose we all are aware of...
This is what Square posed Gabranth as to match the effect...

And this is what I have so far...

I haven't decided yet whether or not I want to make the cape seem like its blowing in the air, I think that would make it look more dynamic but would  make it stray more for the original artwork and I'm not sure how I feel about that.  In addition to the deviation from the artwork, I run into the problem of a potentially strangely skewed emblem on the back of the cape...  However the flowing cape does make the model look more dramatic...  In addition to this I'm thinking that the angle of the ankles needs to be addressed.  I don't know whether or not I want have this be a model that is "floating" on stand, or if it should be standing on flat ground.  I'll probably choose the flat ground pose, Stands do take some time to work out good ideas that match the model and don't take up that much space.

O.K. so i've decided to give the cape some movement (or at least try it).  Movement in capes can be tough.
I think this is the final model that I'm going to clean up and build...

Kain:

05AUG2011
Here are the poses for the Holy dragoon Kain.
This is based off of the artwork from the After Years.  I'll have to figure out the stand for this model.  Ideally it would be hanging (but then again from how high?).
I have to think of a stand that would logically make sense.  Looking at the angle of his ankles and how his toes point straight down, a stand that was only attached to his foot might not be enough to support the weight of the rest of him given the angle at which his foot lies.  I am thinking of a stand that attaches on his back and then attaches to a small stand.  If I use a strong enough gauge wire, then I think it should hold itself up.
There are issues with this model that would suggest that it would take a long time.

CHRONO CROSS MODELS

and of course more to come from this epic game....thanks ccmodelteam

Assisting with Golbez from the after years

Update 06 August 2011
I believe the ankle is already clean, Pepakura will take care of the ankle bracelet...
Waist should be okay, the strap that goes across his strap should be taken care of in pepakura...
